Important: All fees paid to FIDA The Design School / NIF Global Chennai are strictly non-refundable and non-transferable under any circumstances.

1. Overview

This Refund Policy governs all fee payments made to FIDA The Design School, operating under NIF Global Chennai. By enrolling in any program, students and parents acknowledge and agree to the terms stated in this policy.

This policy applies to all programs including B.Des, B.Voc, M.Des, M.Voc, B.B.A, M.B.A, and Diploma courses offered across all NIF Global centers.

2. Non-Refundable Fee Policy

  1. All fees paid — including admission fees, tuition fees, examination fees, and any other charges — are strictly non-refundable once paid.
  2. Fees cannot be transferred to another student, batch, course, or academic year under any circumstances.
  3. Refunds will not be issued in cases of:
  • Voluntary withdrawal or dropout by the student
  • Disciplinary dismissal or expulsion
  • Failure to meet attendance requirements
  • Non-completion of the program
  • Relocation or personal reasons
  • Dissatisfaction with the course or faculty
  • University or regulatory changes beyond the institution’s control

3. Fee Payment Schedule

  1. Monthly fees must be paid on or before the 5th of every month.
  2. A late fee of Rs. 50/- per day will be charged from the 6th of the month onwards for delayed payments.
  3. No reminders will be given for fee payments. It is the student’s responsibility to ensure timely payment.
  4. Annual tuition fees must be rolled over on or before the 5th of March every year.
  5. Examination fees will be collected separately before every examination. Failure to pay will result in ineligibility to appear for the exam.

4. Centre Transfer

  1. Students wishing to transfer to another NIF Global centre for the next academic year must inform the institution between the 1st and 10th of February of the current year.
  2. Transfer requests made outside this window will not be entertained.
  3. Fee adjustments due to centre transfers are subject to management discretion and are not guaranteed.

5. Admission Cancellation

Admission may be cancelled in the following cases, and no refund will be applicable:

  • Non-submission of required documents within the stipulated time
  • Submission of fake, forged, or incorrect documents
  • Failure to meet the eligibility criteria for the enrolled course
  • Violation of disciplinary rules as outlined in the institution’s Rules and Regulations

6. Exceptional Circumstances

FIDA The Design School acknowledges that exceptional circumstances may arise. Any request for fee consideration under extraordinary circumstances must be:

  • Submitted in writing to admin@nifglobalchennai.com
  • Accompanied by supporting documentation
  • Reviewed by the management whose decision shall be final and binding

The institution reserves the right to accept or reject any such request at its sole discretion. Approval of one request does not set a precedent for future cases.

7. Changes to This Policy

FIDA The Design School reserves the right to revise this Refund Policy at any time in accordance with changes in Government guidelines, University regulations, or institutional policies. Students and parents will be notified of material changes through official communication channels.

8. Jurisdiction

All disputes pertaining to fees, refunds, and admissions shall fall within the jurisdiction of Chennai, Tamil Nadu State only.
